Today's duo: Hemingway & Gellhorn
Sometime Sometimes I turn on the TV and just exactly in the same second, starting a movie, I longed to see. Sometime sometimes it happens even to the movie shown on TV and that I thus without the slightest doubt, sit down and watch it. Movies that goes on advertising corner desk channels are in 999 cases in 1000 completely uninteresting to me.
The SVT-in-the-dot happened to me with Hemingway & Gellhorn, a film I had the will-see list for long. All films with Nicole Kidman is there but usually not for long. I like her, fy Dickens corner desk thus what good she is. And here, here begins the film with Nicole old, with massive wrinkles she sits and smokes and looks right into the camera. corner desk Great start! Credible makeup, a look that says a lot, Nicole is so spot on that Martha Gellhorn, I feel it directly. I am the more nervous corner desk Clive Owen's portrayal corner desk of Ernest Hemingway, the charismatic writer, married to Pauline Hemingway (Molly Parker) and father of a bunch of kids (three to be exact) but I did not worry me, Clive swung steak.
The story of when Gellhorn Hemingway met and how their relationship developed and complicated to do well on film. Both were war correspondents, both guarded both the Spanish corner desk Civil War World War II and both were great personalities of integrity and strong will. Martha Gellhorn was also the inspiration for Hemingway's novel Whom the Bell Tolls that he wrote the 1940th
Hemingway & Gellhorn is just like Behind the candelabra a TV movie, and both of these are far much better than many of the films made for theatrical distribution. We see a new era for TV movies? Perhaps it is time to stop seeing them as something Bs, slightly worse than "real movie", something that smells like Hallmark?
As filmduo viewed corner desk Clive Owen's Hemingway and Nicole Kidman's Gellhorn maybe not a hundred percent but very very good. It sparkles on them, their love - and above all passion - is credible and they are looking up. Nothing to complain about there. My God, Clive Owen plays almost over! Just such a thing.
Just read the introduction corner desk and sneak peeked at the grade, then this is a film that has been on my must-see list ever since I heard about it - I mean, it's double joy at Gellhorn / Hemingway and Kidman / Owen - on Now I become the more pep!
Damn! Wonderful Kidman corner desk and trustworthy Owen in the same roll then !? Now I have enough might see it ... especially also as one of his colleagues at work additionally dropped the title as a small tip the weeks before Christmas ...
Now I've seen it! The same rating, but maybe not quite as happy in television format. It could have been an Oscar movie if you had just invested corner desk a bit higher. Owen and Kidman, however, is fantastic, a spot duo in my eyes.
Cecilia: corner desk Really a spot duo, lovely to behold. I did not think very much that there was a TV movie, did not bother me so much about it, but of course it could have become an Oscar candidate if had other conditions.
