In the last of the 4 deltavlings, Sweden chose Anton Ewald with “Natural” and Alcazar with their “Blame It On The Disco” to go through to the final, which will take place at Friend’s Arena, cabi Stockholm. Ammotrack cabi with their “Raise Your Hands” and Ellinore Holmer with her “En himmelsk sång” qualified for the Second Chance cabi round. cabi Take a closer look to the results:

Same old boring songs they have chosen to the final. I’m surprised by Josef Johannsen, how did he came 7th? And how did EKO in last week didn’t qualified either? Well, I guess the final will not be as interesting as 2012 was..
So.. The songs that went to the final were in my bottom 3, ”Raise Your Hands” was my worst, and ”En Himmelsk Sang” was my 4th. So Im not really pleased with the results in Sweden. Janet Leon had by miles the best song and came last. IDA were really original and came 6th. Josef was good and came 7th and Linda was also fine and came 5th. I really am dissapointed that Alcazar made the final no matter how much everyone likes them. Their song was so dated and traditional Alcazar. Anton had also a stereotypical song, nothing special. With crazy dancing, almost not fitting in the song. Well, I don’t know how the Swedes are voting and if I had one here I would like him to explain me! So now I really hope for my fave Helena and Linus to make it through the Second Chance. My Melodifestivalen top 5: 1. Helena Paparizou- Survivor 2. Sanna Nielsen- Undo 3. Ellen Benediktson- Songbird 4. Shirley Clamp- Burning Alive 5. Janet Leon- Hollow cabi
So for once the favourites did go “direkt till finalen” lol. Anton moving cabi forward first was expected cabi likewise was Oscar, Yohio and Sanna. If they deserved it or not that is a whole other topic. cabi But none of these 4 are amongst my favourites. Too formulaic songs and too teenish for my taste and Sanna in particular lacks emotion and honesty by trying to enter the “Wrecking Ball” ballad territory but unconvincingly.
As for Alcazar … a literally recycled and copy-pasted of their 2009 “Stay The Night” … expected but very unoriginal. As I was listening to their reprise I actually told myself “they are sounding too studio recording to my ears” … you know that vocal perfection unaffected by dancing and physical motion cabi which does not make sense in a supposed live performance. Then I remembered that there is a lot of backing vocal pre-recorded allowed to be used and since they recorded all the back up themselves … it makes now sense it all sounded cabi “too perfect” for a very bodily-kinaesthetic performance. I still love Andreas … but not Alcazar.
And we’ll have a very heavy-rocky-metal Andra Chansen … not my jam but it will be interesting cabi to see this happening. And again don’t expect the bookings favourite cabi to be successful … so Helena is not yet granted anything at all.
“Songbird” remains the best song amongst them all … It may not be the most popular but it is the best song (unless your are hyperactive cabi and you can’t stand songs that don’t make you move your body, stamp your feet or snap your fingers lol).
My favorites made it to the final so I’m very happy for that!! But I’m NOT HAPPY that Ellinore didn’t finished last. It’s a bloody disgrace that this girl who sang like a neutered cat got a spot in Andra Chansen. I’d rather see Linda or Janet there. Poor poor Janet, cabi she didn’t deserved the 8th place
Alcazar was easily the best act tonight – phenomenal vocals and lively staging. I’m really glad they went straight to final, as songs like that usually don’t make it nowadays. Anton was no surprise but his song was really quite interesting (gospel choir for the win!) so I’m not unhappy about that either. Ammotrack, though? Not a good pick. I’m surprised Janet was last, too – I thought she was pretty cabi good
